Organizational Development

Background



CSIO’s organizational development work has been conducted primarily through long term engagements with community-based immigrant organizations. We work with groups in an array of areas: decision-making systems, strategic planning, management and supervision systems, evaluation, executive coaching and support, board development, membership development, etc.

CSIO frames its OD work around leadership development, creates work plans with organizations that incorporate this goal, and uses processes which help organizations build internal capacity for learning, development and leadership. We currently provide organizational support to Chinese Progressive Association, Association of Haitian Women, Organization Maya Ki’chee’ (from New Bedford) and Cape Cod Immigrant Center. In the past, we have worked with Brazilian Immigrant Center, City Life/Vida Urbana, Boston Parent Organizing Network and others.
